About the arcade

the midnight arcade is a little project made by me! i go by owen, sketch, sketch3rrs, or kasper :)

the idea revolves around a 24/7 arcade, where humans attend during the daytime, and anthro animals attend during the night. all humans have an anthro form which they shift into during the night, and these identities are often seperate from their human body, though they retain memories and such. some (such as pollen) don't want their anthro form to be associated with their human form, and they may choose to live seperate lives during the day and during the night. during one state of being, the other is "asleep", a way for the body to get rest without actually needing to lay down and sleep fully. it is still reccommended to get proper sleep, however some don't need to and this internal hibernation may be enough rest for them.

those who frequently visit the arcade during the day are called diurnal regulars, and those who frequently visit at night are nocturnal regulars. those who attend during both day and night are called cathemeral regulars, but are generally referred to teasingly as insomniacs due to their apparent lack of a sleep schedule despite internal hybernation. the workers who are there day and/or night are just workers lol.
